Weekly Update: April 29, 2018

Hello Robina Families,

Whew! What a week filled with all kinds of EXTRA! This post is filled with lots of pictures and information. Enjoy the read! This upcoming week is Education Week (more information further below in the post) and there is lots planned to celebrate our journey in Education. Parents are always welcome to join us for any of the special events.

Our assembly this week was extra special as we had all of the grade two's presenting. 2A & 2B presented some very creative movie trailers on Cooperation and 2C & 2D did a great job presenting a truth and honesty song that had a really catchy beat. You can check out the agenda here and click on the links for the song and the movie trailers: https://goo.gl/E8fRXA

CONGRATS TO OUR DRAW WINNERS!!

BOKS SPECIAL GUEST

Our BOKS kiddos were so lucky to have special guest and Edmonton Eskimo kicker Hugh O'Neill lead our BOKS workout on Thursday. The students were all super excited and wore their green and gold in support of our Edmonton Eskimos football team. They had a great workout, learned how to throw a football and even got to have an autograph in the end!

BIKERS AGAINST BULLYING

We were surprised by a visit this past week from the Bikers Against Bullying. It was quite the sight and a couple of our students got to go for a ride and promote taking a stand against bullying!

Thank you so much for your extra efforts on our behalf on Friday. It was very much appreciated! A huge thank you to all who came out to help out in any way!

Staff vs. Boys Floor Hockey Team

The staff and students had so much fun playing floor hockey at lunch recess on Thursday and the gym was once again roaring with laughter, fun and cheers!

Next Year Planning

We do have a quick survey for all of our families that we want you to fill out as we want to know if you are planning on returning to Robina Baker or if you are moving out of town or to a different school in the Fall.   In order to assist us with our planning for next year, please click on this link and fill out the survey. Your timely response is critical for planning and staffing next year. If you already completed this survey - thank you so much!

If your child currently attends Robina Baker you do not have to register online for next year.  If you have a younger child that is old enough for Pre-School (4 years old by February) or Kindergarten (5 years old by February) then you can register now for school for next year!  If your child is moving on to Riverview Middle School their file will be transferred to that school at the end of June.

You Can Register For Pre-School or Kindergarten Now
